http://www.kmlfactbook.org/#&db=ciafb&table=2002&col=2008& This is a link to a site I heard about from another blog called KML Factbook. It takes information from the CIA World factbook and represents it on a world map. At first glance it seems like it may be overly complicated for my classroom/ age level, but if anyone else sees a way to apply it in their own class let me know.
Hi Josie, I am going to comment on your blog as a whole, and not necessarily just this post. I teach fourth grade and I'm responsible for all subject areas, including social studies. I am always looking for new ideas in this area. Any suggestions of great online sites/ tools for this grade level? We focus on Regions of the USA, and NH History, which consists of Native American settlements, Geography of NH, Colonial Times, a little on the American Revolution, and Government. Would love to hear your thoughts!

DeleteHi Jen, I am going to take some time to think about your question and as I come up with some resources I've run across I will definitely post them for you.
